Pool Brain negotiated a first of it's kind agreement with Orenda Technologies to allow native integration with their chemical calculator. This allows technicians to not only calculate dosing on the fly, but also allows custom intelligence/UI to work seamlessly with our automated guided workflows and automatic chemical dosing.

This means the office has complete control over:

  • Which chemical readings are required and how often

  • Which chemicals are auto-dosed (no technician entry required)

  • Which desired targets you want to set automatically

  • Which chemicals & readings are displayed in the app

The technician simply completes the workflows as they already do but can also view current and predicted LSI, access the Orenda Calculator in app if desired and have chemicals auto-dosed with no action or entry required. Auto-dosing amounts are calculated using Orenda's industry famous formulas and methodology but you have ultimate control over targets and methods.

Orenda Calculator Natively Integrated In Pool Brain App

  • Technicians can see current and predicted LSI on the "Add Chemicals" screen in app along with other details (Readings for pH, Alkalinity, CYA, either TDS or Salt, and Water Temp are required in order to display LSI values)

  • Chemical dosing amounts will already be filled into the proper fields without any technician action or entry required (You can turn auto-dose off if you prefer and dose amounts can always be manually adjusted.)

  • Technicians can tap the Orenda Calculator logo to open the in app calculator

  • Current readings display in the Orenda Calculator on the left hand side
Note: Readings can't be adjusted from this screen since they're required in the workflow depending on the requirements and frequency set by the office. They're displayed here for quick reference purposes and the technician can navigate back to the Readings screen if they need to be changed for some reason.)

  • Techs can set the desired targets to match the current readings by tapping the "Match Readings" option - This allows flexibility to auto-dose using preset (customizable) desired targets or easy LSI calculations as needed

  • Swipe left/right to change desired values (This is optional and you can pre-set the desired target values)

  • Tap one of the chemical bar settings to change which chlorine or acid chemical is used for dosing (This is optional. You can pre-set this as well as determine which options are allowed to be chosen.)

  • Tapping "CALCULATE" button will calculate new dosing amounts and overwrite existing dosing amounts on the previous "Add Chemicals" screen

  • When both Alkalinity and pH need to be lowered, the Alkalinity lowering dose is automatically used per Orenda's recommendation. A message will display beneath the muriatic acid field to clearly indicate when this occurs.

  • Either a "Salt" or "TDS" reading is required in order to display LSI values. If BOTH readings are entered, the TDS value will always be used to calculate LSI and the Salt value will always display in the "TDS / Salt" field on the Orenda Calculator. This is so that both LSI value and Salt auto-dosing are always accurate when both readings are used.
