How to correct the amount of chemicals being charged for on an upcoming invoice
When a body of water has the "charge for chems" toggle turned on in the route schedule, the system will automatically add or update chemical line items on the upcoming invoice to reflect which chemicals were used on each route stop during the billing period.
If you need to correct the chemical amounts used on an upcoming invoice, just edit the chemical amounts used directly on the appropriate route stop. Once you edit the amount used in the "Chemicals Added" section of a route stop, Pool Brain automatically adjusts the upcoming invoice with the proper amounts for chemical billing based on your settings.
Open the page for the route stop you need to edit
Scroll down to "Chemicals Added" section
Click into the field for any chemical to edit the quantity used on that route stop
Note that changes made from the web dashboard will be highlighted in red, and you can hover over the quantity box to see when it was updated and by who
The chemical charges on the upcoming invoice will immediately update to reflect the new chemical amounts and dates based on the changes you made.
IMPORTANT NOTES:
If a chemical product price is set to $0.00, that chemical will not be added to the upcoming invoice. Product prices are configured in Settings.
While you CAN adjust a chemical charge line item directly on the upcoming invoice, you should not do this if you can avoid it. Each time a route stop is completed, existing chemical line items on the upcoming invoice are fully overwritten with the chemical amounts and dates from ALL route stops within the billing period. This means that adjustments you make directly on the upcoming invoice have the potential to be overwritten if they are chemical charges and there are more route stops remaining to be completed in the billing period. Making the chemical amount adjustment directly on the appropriate route stop means the change on the upcoming invoice happens automatically and there is no risk of it being overwritten incorrectly.
