Auto-dose Chlorine Tabs With Pool Brain AI (beta)

We're excited to announce ANOTHER industry first brought to you by Pool Brain! πŸš€

We've trained an AI model to auto-dose chlorine tabs based on real data so you don't have to train techs to make guesses based on variables they can't possibly know.

Pool Brain AI tab dosing uses weather, chemistry, schedule, and location data to provide tab dosing recommendations that hit the mark. With each visit, more data is collected and the AI improves. Dosing becomes more accurate, complaints go down, and profit goes up... all with less training and effort.

Please note this is a first of it's kind dosing solution, which is why we're releasing it in BETA mode. We'd love for you to turn it on, use it, and provide feedback but double check results for accuracy in the early stages. Technicians can always override dosing recommendations made by Pool Brain, and you'll be able to see when they do.

  • Activate chlorine tab auto-dosing in the "Chemistry" tab on the "Settings" page

  • When technician arrives on "Add Chemicals" screen in app, a chlorine tab dose amount will automatically exist in the proper field

    Requirements: Chlorine reading entered, "gallons" value exists, "Chlorine Floater" or "In-Line Chlorinator" set as chlorinator equipment type. If requirements aren't met, no auto-dose amount will be entered.

  • Technician can change tab dose if desired (change history is tracked and viewable on web)

  • Tab dose quick reference guide added to "Add Chemicals" screen in app
    Techs can see the auto-dose recommendation along with chlorine reading and tab dose amounts over the last 4 visits. Quickly make dosing decisions and gain confidence in the dosed amount.

  • Trained on years of real field data (weather, chemistry, schedule, location, and more)

  • Works without signal
    Our AI dosing model runs natively so it always works, even when you don't have signal in the field.

  • More accurate and reliable than a human

    When it comes to chlorine tab dosing, technicians have always had to just make their best guess. Due to extreme variables, technician turnover, and training challenges, accuracy is all but impossible. Pool Brain AI tab dosing changes that. It sees data in ways humans aren't capable of and automatically delivers a prediction that's more accurate than a human guess, even during a seasonal weather shift.

  • Major savings

    Tab dose training is virtually eliminated, pools don't turn green due to under-dosing, and less breakpoint chemical is needed on a return trip. When tab over-dosing is eliminated, money isn't wasted, CYA levels don't rise as fast, and customers don't complain about chlorine irritation. Everyone wins. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

View Original Dose Source & See If Tech Changed It

Full transparency and accountability for chemistry readings and dose amounts has arrived.

  • On route stops and jobs, the "Chemicals Added" section now shows the original dose source (Orenda, Pool Brain AI, or Technician) along with any changes that were made (who, what, and when).

  • Fields are color coded so you know the dose source at a glance and whether changes were made by technician or office staff.

    Blue = Pool Brain AI
    Purple = Orenda
    Orange = changed by technician

    Red = changed by office staff

  • Hover over the chemical field to see details

API Improvements

  • Added "subscriptionStatus" field in company_list endpoint which returns the subscription status (useful for large companies managing multiple accounts)

  • Added query parameter "isDismissed" in alerts_list endpoint which returns whether an alert has been dismissed or not
