When moving properties from one route to another in Pool Brain, there are two types to choose from: One Time Moves and Permanent Moves.

For one time jobs, all moves are permanent moves. For route stops (ongoing maintenance work), both types of moves can be made.

Permanent Moves

When you want to reschedule a property from one route to another permanently, you would use a permanent move. The property will be completely removed from its previous route and will now always appear on the route and day you moved it to.

  • To make a permanent move, select a property or group of properties on any route and click the "Move" button that appears above

  • Click the toggle switch at the top of the window that appears so the words "PERMANENT MOVE" appear in red text

  • Use the day selector arrows to navigate to the correct day and then click on the route you want to move the selected properties to. The properties will be immediately moved to the new route for every week going forward.

  • ALL moves to/from Unscheduled section are permanent

One Time Moves

When you need to move a property from one route to another just to cover that one trip temporarily, you would use a One Time Move. For example, you'd use a one time move if the pool service tech didn't finish the route that day, called out sick, customer requested a one time schedule change, etc.

  • To make a one time move, select a property or group of properties on any route and click the "move" button that appears above

  • The move window is always set to "one time move" by default when selecting route stops and clicking "move" button

  • Use the date selector arrows in the window that appears to navigate to the correct date and then click on the route you want to one time move the properties to. The properties will be immediately moved to the new route but only for that single date. Going forward, they will still be on their originally scheduled route and day.

  • The properties will now appear grayed out/disabled on the route they were moved FROM. This shows that it still belongs to that route, but has been temporarily moved somewhere else for that particular day. They will appear with a green border on the route they were moved TO. This shows that they are scheduled for that route on that date but don't normally belong there and won't be there next week.

  • Hover over the word "MOVED" to see info on which route and day it was moved to/from and which user moved it and when.

  • All drag and drop moves are one time moves by default (except when moving from/to Unscheduled section)

You can also:

  • Drag and drop map markers to routes or Unscheduled section

  • Drag and drop properties from Unscheduled section to a route or vice versa

  • Drag and drop properties directly from route to route

  • Drag and drop properties within a route to rearrange the order manually

  • Drag and drop routes to a different order in the list (for aesthetic purposes)

  • Click a map marker and then click "move" to bring up the move window for that property
