New Credit Card / ACH Processor (Nuvei)
Our previous processor (Paya) was acquired by Nuvei and up until now, we've been using Paya's framework. We are now switching to Nuvei's framework as they are a larger company with more support resources, a better reporting dashboard, and other additional features. For example, the automatic surcharging feature we are launching simultaneously will be available with Nuvei, but not Paya.
What to know:
Existing companies who currently process with Paya will not be affected and can continue to do so with no obligation to switch.
Companies that haven't activated Paya credentials in Settings will now see Nuvei credential options in Settings. Companies that have already activated Paya credentials will continue to see those credentials in Settings until they decide to switch to Nuvei.
We'll be offering assistance with switching from Paya to Nuvei for those who want to do so in the coming months. This involves a saved payment method token transfer process which we'll have streamlined as much as possible. Companies who don't already have saved payment methods on file can sign up for Nuvei or switch at any time without requiring transfer assistance.

Automatic Surcharging For Credit Card Processing Fees
You can now automatically apply a processing fee for customers who pay with a credit card
Please note: This applies only to available those who process through our newly launched processor, Nuvei (not Paya who is owned by Nuvei). Debit cards and ACH can't be surcharged. Some states prohibit surcharging and in this case, no additional fees will be added. Max surcharge amount is capped at 3%.An option now exists in settings to enable surcharging
When customers or office staff attempt to make a credit card payment directly on an invoice, the payment amount will be adjusted to reflect the balance due + the surcharge amount. This is clearly shown to the customer/staff member.
If a payment is made that includes a processing fee, it will be added to the invoice as a non taxable line item.
For customers that are set to pay auto-pay monthly via credit card, the upcoming invoice will contain a non taxable line item for the processing fee. Don't remove this fee from the upcoming invoice unless you don't want to charge the processing fee to the customer for that month.
On invoices where a processing fee line item exists, any percentage based discount on the invoice will be converted to an equivalent flat rate discount to avoid discounting the processing fee.
Create Customers In App
Technicians can now create new customers directly from the app
A new technician permission named "Can create customers" has been added. This permission must be active for the tech to be able to create new customers.
New Chlorinator Equipment Types
In preparation for our AI chlorine tab auto-dosing launch, we've made some changes to the equipment tracking.
"Salt System" equipment item is now named "Chlorinator"
