There are three ways to create a quote in Pool Brain - from scratch, using a template, or by duplicating an existing quote.
Create a New Quote
Office Staff – Web Dashboard
Click the green "+" button in the top navigation and select "Quote."
Type the customer name or address in the search box, click on the property where the work will be performed, and click "Create Quote".
Fill in the quote details - title, body of water, line items, discount, tax, sales rep, assigned technician, and notes.

Technicians – App
Tap the green "+" button and select "Quote."
Search for the customer by name or address and tap on the property where the work will be performed. Properties near the technician's current location will display automatically.
Select a body of water.
Fill in the quote details — title, body of water, line items, discount, and tax.

Create a Quote Using a Template
Quote templates allow you to pre-fill a quote with commonly used combinations of line items, notes, and discounts - saving time and ensuring consistency across your team. Templates can be created and managed in the web dashboard and used by both office staff and technicians when creating a quote.

Office Staff – Web Dashboard
Create a new quote following the steps above.
Click the "template dropdown" at the top of the quote and select the template you want to use.
Click "Continue" to apply the template.
Technicians – App
Create a new quote following the steps above.
Tap "Use Quote Template." and select the template from the dropdown and tap "Continue" to apply the template.
Duplicate a Quote
Duplicating a quote is useful when you need to offer a customer multiple options for the same job or when an original quote was closed and you want to create a new record without starting from scratch.
Office Staff – Web Dashboard
Open the quote you want to duplicate and click the "duplicate icon" in the top left of the screen.
Technicians – App
Quotes cannot be duplicated in the mobile app.
