Customer Portal - Settings

Learn how to set up and configure your customer portal in Pool Brain.

The customer portal gives your customers a self-serve hub to manage their account - eliminating the majority of reasons they would need to contact your office.


How to Access Customer Portal Settings

Navigate to Settings --> Customer Portal.


Set Up Your Subdomain

Your subdomain is your unique customer portal link. The format is always:
subdomain.poolbrain.com

To set up your subdomain, enter your desired subdomain name in the subdomain field and click "Save."

⚠️ Your subdomain cannot be changed once saved - choose carefully. Subdomains must be all lowercase with no spaces or special characters.

Once set up, share your portal link with customers on your website, in emails, or anywhere else. Customers register on their own using the billing contact email on file in Pool Brain - no invite needed.


Default Permission Settings

Default permissions control what all newly created customers can see and do in the portal. These are configured in Settings --> Customer Portal and apply to all new customers automatically. Individual customer permissions can be customized directly on the customer profile at any time.
