You can quickly and easily edit or delete an invoice at any time as long as no payments are applied to the invoice. You can always unapply any payment so you can edit the invoice and then apply them again later if needed.

Edit A Line Item On An Invoice
You can edit a line item on an invoice by hovering over the line item name and then clicking the blue "edit" text that appears on the left. This will display more options that allow you to edit the description, quantity or price of the line item. You can also delete the line item by clicking the "Delete" button that appears.
Edit Due Date On An Invoice
You can edit the due date of an invoice by hovering over the due date, clicking the blue "edit" text that appears on the left and then changing the date as needed.
Control Whether A Line Item Is Taxable
Check or uncheck the box in the "Tax" column to set whether that line item will be taxable on the invoice.
Add or Remove Tax Rate On An Invoice
At the bottom right of the invoice, you can click "Remove" to remove a tax rate or "Add" to add a tax rate. The tax rate must already be created in settings to be in the list of options.
Add or Remove Discount On An Invoice
At the bottom right of the invoice, you can click "Remove" to remove a discount or "Add" to add a discount. The discount applies to the entire invoice and can be a percentage or fixed dollar amount. To switch between percentage and fixed dollar amount, click the dollar sign ( $ ) or percentage symbol ( % ).
Delete an Invoice
To delete an invoice, click on the trash can icon under the invoice number at the top left of the screen.
Please note: Invoice deleting actions DO NOT sync with Quickbooks Online. If you delete an invoice in one program, you will need to manually delete it in the other to match.
Instead of deleting, you can edit the invoice amount to be zero and put notes in the line item description or invoice notes field explaining why you've zeroed it out. In this way, the invoice changes will auto-sync to QBO and be accurate in both programs with no additional effort.
