Track technician commission pay on jobs and quotes
(You can already track "per visit" pay on route stops... this is different)
PLEASE NOTE: This will only work properly on quotes and one time jobs that have been created after 5/21/23 (after the update was released)
2 new sections to track how you want to pay commissions have been added to "Technician Pay" section in settings (Pay Commission for Jobs and Pay Commission for Sales/Quotes)
Jobs commission section determines how much you pay the technician that completed the job for any products/services attached to that job after it has been invoiced.
Sales commission section determines how much you pay the same or different technician for any products/services attached to the job after it has been invoiced. Typically this is the technician that created the quote that was approved and then became a job. The system will handle the commission tracking automatically the entire way from quote to job to invoice.Easily set commission pay amounts for any technician pay role
Sales commission technicians can be assigned to quotes (auto-assigned when created from app)
When quote is approved, it becomes a job automatically and sales commission technician is auto-assigned to the job (but can be changed by a user that has permission)
Job commission technicians can be assigned to jobs (auto-assigned when scheduled to a route for that technician)
Commission amounts are auto-calculated but can be manually edited if user has permission (edit history is viewable in job activity history log for accountability)
Technician pay roles can now be duplicated
Easily duplicate any technician role from an existing one (this makes it easy to create multiple pay tiers for different technicians without having to redo every setting from scratch)
New commission pay report
Switch between route stop pay and commission pay report views with a click
Only one time jobs that have been closed and invoiced will appear on the commission pay report
Click the excel icon in the top right corner to export both the route stop pay and commission pay details for the technician in a single report
Commission report can be viewed at technician level on their profile page or company level for all technicians in Reports section
3 new user/tech permission options
Allow a web user to "view commissions on jobs & quotes"
Allow a web user to "edit commissions on jobs & quotes"
Allow a technician to "create products/services in the app"
Heaters have been added to the equipment bar
Heaters can now be tracked on web and in app
You can choose from 5 different heater types
Natural Gas, Liquid Propane, Electric, Heat Pump and Solar
Display or hide chemical info in route stop emails
New option to display or hide chemical reading info in a route stop email
New option to display or hide chemicals added info in a route stop email
View chemical reading/dosing history for any body of water before starting job in app
When viewing an expanded route stop or job in the app, you can now tap "Chemical History" to access the chem/reading and dosing history for that property
For properties with multiple bodies of water, the tech will be prompted to select which one they want to see chemical history for
Create products and services directly from search (web & app)
When adding line items to quotes, jobs or invoices, users can now create a product or service on the fly if it doesn't already exist
Web users must have permission to create products and services in order to use this new feature
Technicians can also do this from the app on a quote or job if they have permission to view/edit products and services
Change line item prices on the fly (web & app)
Web users can now edit the price of line items attached to jobs (this only changes the price for that specific job and not for the product/service itself)
Technicians can now edit the price of line items on jobs or quotes on the fly if they have permission to view/edit products and services (this only changes the price for that specific job and not for the product/service itself)
Technician app syncing has been re-engineered
Sync process has been changed to push updates from web in real time to the app automatically
...try scheduling a property for a technician while they have the app open looking at their home screen... dare you ;)Sync button in the bottom left corner of app home screen will still function the same way but should not be necessary
Just as before, the technician app still works with no signal. The app automatically syncs job data to the web dashboard whenever it has signal and your techs won't even notice when it doesn't
Route and technician names display on map marker tooltips
Map marker tool tips for both one time jobs and route stops now display the route name the property is assigned to and the technician assigned to the route
Other Improvements
A "load more" button now appears in product/service line item search on web if there are more products/services that match the search term than displayed
Moving properties via drag and drop in scheduling speed has been improved
Editing checklist item speed has been improved
Major system architecture changes/upgrades have been made in the backend for increased speed and stability across the board
Customers will no longer receive security notice errors when making payments if their system time clock is incorrect.
Most lists will now reference the date range when there are no items to display in the selected date range to make it more clear to users why they aren't seeing certain items
Moved category drop down selector on services to the same location as products for user experience consistency
Made it easier to tap on property address in app to launch directions navigation
