Technicians Can Now Create Jobs From The App

  • A new option named "Job" now exists in the create menu on the home screen

  • Closest property address to tech's physical location will be surfaced automatically or they can search any customer/property on demand

  • Set job details like Title, Body of Water, Duration, Time Window, Products & Services, Workflow Items, and Notes

  • Job templates can be used to create common or complex jobs in a couple taps

  • When finished, job will be auto-scheduled on the technician's route for today's date
(Full in-app scheduling controls are coming in another release prior to summer season)

New Technician Permissions

  • "Can Create Jobs" permission can now be set for any technician
If tech doesn't have permission, they won't be able to create new Jobs in app

  • "Can Create Route Stops" permission can now be set for any technician
If tech doesn't have permission, they won't be able to create new Route Stops in app

  • "Can Create Quotes" permission can now be set for any technician
If tech doesn't have permission, they won't be able to create new Quotes in app

Customer and Job History Updates In-App

  • Techs can now access history / details for any customer on demand, even if they don't have a scheduled job or route stop for that customer. Just tap "Customer History" in create menu on home screen and search for any customer name or address. (Technician needs "Can access customer history" permission to do this)

  • The "Job History" screen for the logged in technician has been updated to match how job history displays on the customer details screen. Techs can tap any job/route stop to see full details and photos.

Set Price Markup For Services, Products & Categories

  • A "Cost" field has now been added for Services (products already had this) and this field will sync bi-directionally with the corresponding one in Quickbooks Online

  • For Products & Services, you can now set a % value that will automatically determine the markup between the cost and price. For example, if the markup value of a service is set to 50% and the Cost is $10.00, the system would auto-set the Price to $15.00.

  • If you set a price markup for a category or subcategory, all existing and newly added products/services in that category will be set for the same markup value and their prices will be updated accordingly

  • If the markup field is LOCKED on a product or service, it will not be changed by the category markup value

Activity History For Payments

  • You can now view all user and system activity on any payment by clicking the new history icon in the top left corner

  • View details such as who created the payment and when, any sync activity between Pool Brain and Quickbooks Online, any changes made to the payment and which invoices it was applied to, etc

Open API Improvements

  • Query by Customer display name in the "customer_detail" endpoint

  • Query by contact email in the "customer_detail" endpoint

  • Query by contact phone number in the "customer_detail" endpoint

  • When querying the "customer_detail" endpoint, an internal (office staff facing) Customer URL is now returned with each result which can be used for direct linking purposes

  • When querying the "customer_quotes_detail" endpoint, an interal (office staff facing) Quote URL is now returned with each result which can be used for direct linking purposes

Other Improvements

  • QBO Locations can now be synced on invoices
useful for tracking income for multiple locations in one QBO account

  • Late fees automatically added in QBO will now sync to the corresponding invoice in Pool Brain

  • All Spin Touch discs should now work properly with our integration, including 3 way disc series

  • New equipment icons now properly represent pressure side cleaners and variable speed pumps at a glance
