Send text message from app letting customer know you're on the way, new upcoming invoice options & more.

We are excited to announce the release of a very highly requested feature! Sending text messages from the app is now available and we'll be expanding on this throughout the year to bring more texting capabilities among many other new features. As always, your feedback is greatly appreciated :)


Send "on the way" text message from the technician app

  • An "On the way" option now exists on any expanded Job or Route Stop in the technician app

  • A message window opens in one tap, techs can select an ETA in one tap and edit the message further if they have permission

  • Customer instantly receives the text message at the number displayed above the "on the way" icon
    Note: this is always the Primary Contact phone number for the customer account

  • The text message is sent from a rotating pool of phone numbers

  • The technician's phone number is never used or shared with customer

  • After the message is sent, a green checkbox icon will display to let the technician know this has been done
    Note: the technician can send another message if they choose by tapping the "on the way" icon again


New text message options in Settings

  • Set a default message to customer

  • Choose what happens if customer replies to the text message
    (send no reply message or receive the reply at a number you designate)

    You can customize the "no reply" message if that is the setting you choose.



    You can set a "reply to" phone number so that you can receive all replies at a central messaging system such as Podium, Zen Desk or many other text to customer platforms.


New technician permission setting

  • A new technician permission now exists named "Can edit on the way text message"

  • If a technician has this permission activated, they can edit the "on the way" message any way they want

  • If a technician has this permission deactivated, they can select the number of minutes for their ETA but they can't alter the message in any other way


Upcoming Invoice Improvements

  • Choose whether or not to create the existing upcoming invoice when deactivating a route schedule

  • Existing upcoming invoice tax will now auto-update if the tax setting is changed for the same property it is associated with

  • Existing upcoming invoice service dates will now auto-update if the billing method (arrears / in advance) or creation date (when invoice is processed) is changed


Other Improvements

  • All existing tags now display in a searchable format when adding a tag to a customer

  • Maximum input limits for pH and Alkalinity readings have been increased to match Orenda's input limits

  • Customizable email templates for Route Stops, One Time Jobs, Quotes and Invoices have now been released for all companies. You can find them at the bottom of settings and can edit them any way you like to match your brand and messaging.
