Heritage Pool Supply integration, edit & send Jobs from app, line items with negative amounts, customer tags in reports + more

Heritage Pool Supply Integration


We're excited to announce our new integration with Heritage Pool Supply! You can now have your product costs in Pool Brain auto-updated if your cost with Heritage changes. Product price will also auto-update based on the markup you have set. This means you are now always charging the correct amount for the profit margin you want without any manual auditing or data entry. πŸ™Œ

  • A "Supplier Integrations" section now exists in settings where you can enter your Heritage Account ID and API key to activate the integration
    ​

  • After entering your credentials (obtained from Heritage), you'll see an option to select a default branch. The branch you select will be what is used to pull your pricing on products.
    ​

  • You'll also see a new "Heritage Number" field on all products in Pool Brain. Entering Heritage's unique item number for a product in this field will allow the cost to update automatically when the cost changes in Heritage. You only need to do this once.
    ​

  • Every night, Pool Brain will check to see if any products with a matching Heritage Number have had their cost changed. If so, Pool Brain will auto-update the product cost to match. If you have a markup % set for the product, the price will auto-update accordingly.

    You'll never have to manually audit costs or update prices again 😎
    ​


Edit and Send Jobs From App

  • Technicians can now edit the following items on Jobs in the app if they have permission:
    ​
    - Job Title
    - Body of water
    - Technician, date & route the job is scheduled for
    - Products & Services
    - Workflow items
    - Readings
    - Chemicals Added
    - Instructions, Office Notes, Job Notes, Customer Notes
    ​

  • To edit an existing job in the app, navigate to the job using the Customer History Screen or Job History screen
    ​

  • Tap on any area of the job to edit details. The changes will be immediately synced to web dashboard. (note that job can't be edited while in "CLOSED" status)
    ​

  • Job activity history updates to reflect changes made from the app (what was changed, by who and when)

  • Job details can now be emailed to customer from app by tapping "Send Job Email" in bottom left corner (note that job must be completed or closed to send details)

  • When sending job email, the customer's primary contact email is filled in by default but technician can enter a different email if they choose



New Technician Permissions

  • A new permission named "Can edit Jobs" can now be set for any technician. If technician doesn't have this permission active, they can't edit job details in app.

  • A new permission named "Can send Job emails to customers" can now be set for any technician. If technician doesn't have this permission active, they can't send job emails to customers in app. (the same email gets sent from app that would be sent if an office user did it from web dashboard)

Product/Service Line Items Can Have Negative Amounts

  • You can now save negative price values for products & services

  • You can now edit line item prices to be a negative value on quotes, invoices and jobs


View Product/Service Activity History

  • You can now access activity history for all products & services by clicking on the history icon in the top left corner

  • Activity history displays details such as who created it and when, what was edited and when, and who took the actions.


Payroll IDs Can Be Assigned To Technicians

  • Payroll IDs can now be assigned to any technician in the "Pay" section on their profile page

  • The IDs will display in column named "Payroll ID" on technician and company level pay reports. This can be used to import your payroll amounts directly into 3rd party systems such as ADP, Paychex, etc or for internal tracking.


More Open API Improvements

  • You can now create products & services via API using POST calls

  • You can now edit products & services via API use PUT calls

  • You can already use GET calls to retrieve product & service info via API




Other Improvements

  • Customer tags will now display in the Customer excel report

  • Alerts page has been optimized to increase load speed by 430% on average πŸš€

  • For multi-company access accounts, you can now construct URLs to directly navigate a logged-in user to the Customers page for any given company they have access to
