  • Sync info can be accessed by pulling down on the job list on the home screen. Pull down slightly to see last synced details and if any photos are waiting to sync. Pull down further to trigger a manual sync. Please note that syncing is automatic and fast so manually triggering a sync is not necessary in most cases.

Manage Schedules From The Technician App

Technicians now have the ability to manage scheduling in the app for themselves or others. This feature is permission controlled so you can choose which techs can view and take actions on specific things.

  • Access the new scheduling section by tapping the "SCHEDULING" icon at the bottom of the home screen

  • View route details such as route name, assigned tech, number of jobs, drive time, drive distance, work time, and progress bars

  • Expand a route to view the start/end locations and the jobs assigned to the route

  • Rearrange job order by long pressing on a property and then dragging it to a different position

  • Move jobs temporarily or permanently by selecting the jobs and then tapping the "move" icon

  • Tap "MOVED" text on a job that has been one time moved to see who moved it, which route it was moved to/from, and when it was moved

  • Tap the "Unscheduled" bar to view and move all unscheduled jobs and route stops

  • Tap the "MAP" tab to view map markers for jobs on the currently selected date. Tap any map marker for more information.

  • Tap the eyeball icon on any route or the unscheduled section to hide the map markers on the map view

  • Set view filters based on technician, job type, job status, customer tags, and more. You can also save custom views and set one as your default view.

  • Activity history shows which techs or office staff moved properties and when (accessed on the route schedule)

New Technician Permissions

New tech permissions have been added to control what techs can see and do regarding scheduling in the app. "Can access scheduling screen" is the master permission that unlocks the sub-permissions beneath it.

Techs can only view and move their own jobs for today's date by default. They can't see other tech's jobs, unscheduled jobs, or future dates unless you give them permission.

  • Can access scheduling screen

Tech can access the new scheduling section in app

    • Can view other technician's routes

Tech can view all routes for all technicians (if they don't have this permission, they can only view their own routes)

    • Can assign & remove technicians from routes

Tech can change who is assigned to which routes

    • Can move & schedule jobs / route stop

Tech can move & schedule jobs / route stops to any route they have permission to view

    • Can view unscheduled jobs / route stops

Tech can open the "Unscheduled" section at the top of the screen to view jobs and route stops that haven't been placed on a route yet

    • Can view future dates

Tech can view scheduling for any future date they want (if they don't have this permission, they can only view today's date)

    • Can mark jobs to be skipped

Tech can mark any job / route stop they have permission to view as "Skipped". Skipped jobs won't display as needing to be done in the app for the assigned tech.

    • Can edit start and end locations

Tech can change the address for the start or end location on any route they have permission to view

Open API Improvements

  • Companies managing multiple Pool Brain accounts can now target them using a single master API key

Other Improvements

  • A search bar has been added in the "Jobs" portion of the "Unscheduled" section on web and app. Quickly filter the unscheduled jobs list by customer, address, or job title.

  • Search inventory items by name or part number

  • Improvements to QBO syncing process to drastically increase sync speeds when hundreds of thousands of invoices process simultaneously
