Alerts and Issue Reports let you automatically see potential issues before they become actual problems. Pool Brain enables you and your team to review and manage alerts via the Alerts Dashboard.

In company settings, there are 3 alerts options to configure:

  • Automatically Dismiss Alerts after ( X ) days
This setting controls if and when alerts will be automatically dismissed by the system and also includes Issue Reports. For example, the default is set so that if your office staff doesn't dismiss an alert within 30 days of the alert being triggered, the system will auto-dismiss it. Dismissed alerts will still always show up for historical purposes on the route stop/job they were triggered on.

You can toggle this setting off so the system never dismisses any alerts. You can also change the number of days to whatever you like. Common / best practice is to dismiss all alerts by the end of every working day but this can act as a relief valve if you get overwhelmed so that older items that probably aren't relevant any longer are auto-dismissed.

  • Dismiss All Alerts Now
This button will immediately dismiss every alert and issue report in the system regardless of the date the alert was triggered. This is essentially clearing out/resetting the alerts dashboard list and is not common. It is primarily used only after a new company signs up, does a lot of testing and then wants to dismiss all the test alerts without having to do each one manually.

  • Require notes when dismissing alerts
When toggled ON, this setting will require the office user that is dismissing the alert to enter some notes before dismissing it. Otherwise, they will be able to dismiss the alert in one click with no further information regarding what action they took to address the alert (if any) and why.

You also have a lot of options to customize alerts and issue reports for when they trigger, what priority they're given, etc. This is done from a separate settings page called Customize Alerts.
