To begin tracking commission pay for technicians, you'll first need to setup the amounts technicians should be paid for products and services attached to jobs and/or quotes.

Go to Settings ---> Technician Pay section ---> select or create the technician "Role" you want to configure for commission pay

  • There are 2 sections to track how you want to pay commissions as shown below
(Pay Commission for Jobs and Pay Commission for Sales)

Pool service software technician commissions for jobs and sales

Jobs commission section determines how much you pay the technician for products/services attached to a job they've completed after it has been closed and invoiced. The technician that is scheduled to complete the job will automatically be assigned as the job commission technician.

Sales commission section determines a different amount you pay the technician for products/services attached to the job after it has been closed and invoiced. However, the tech is usually only eligible for this if they created a quote that was approved and became a job. Any technician that creates a quote will be automatically assigned as the sales commission technician on the job that is auto-created upon approval.

  • Set commission pay amounts for any technician pay role

Choose how much to pay by default for all products/services on the left and add any exceptions on the right for different amounts if you'd like.
